It was a lucky day to be invited by TOKYO BELLY House Warming Invitation at MALL KELAPA GADING 5 (MKG 5) with the other food bloggers and foodies. So here I am, ready to make a review about what I had in such a beautiful evening.

First, I would like to let you know some news about TOKYO BELLY. Ismaya Group was finally having their third outlet on June 24th 2015, which was located at MALL KELAPA GADING 5. Whoever live near Kelapa Gading should come over, aye? And whoever live far far away from Kelapa Gading should also come here.

Becauseeee....

For their third outlet, TOKYO BELLY serves MKG's special menu that only can be enjoyed at this MALL KELAPA GADING 5. It's surely something could bring more excitement in eating experience.

APPETIZER

Tokyo Edamame

Sauteed baby soybeans in pod with garlic & soy sauce

NOTES:

YASSS, mark this one as favourite appetizer.

TOKYO BELLY makes different presentation and it tastes even more tasty because they add crunchy garlic all over it.

Kawa Ebi

Crispy kawa ebi with Tokyo Belly house seasoning, served with tartar sauce and spicy sauce

NOTES:

Its crispiness makes you grab continuously.
Find the taste of seaweed powder, slightly in every bites.

Don't worry, you can eat the whole body without pealing the ebi's skin.

Tokyo Nachos

Crispy nachos covered with chicken soboro, teriyaki sauce and wasabi mayo

NOTES:

The unique Japanese Nachos you will ever try.
Different taste, it's more than the other ordinary nachos.
A good companion before the main course.

ASSORTED OF SUSHI

TOKYO BELLY has so many fusion sushi on their menu. One portion of fusion sushi basically consists of 6 to 8 pieces. But on this occasion, I had a chance to try 4 different tasty fusion sushi on one long plate.

NOTES:
The enoki is so yummy and the wrapping beef is chunky, easy to bite.
Quite sweet and savory.
So tasty!

Spicy tuna, crab meat & salmon with grilled melted cheese, on top of sushi rice mixed with sesame seeds and floss
NOTES:
The taste of melted cheese brings a light salty sensation.

Dazzling Roll

Salmon sushi roll fried with crispy panko & topped with mashed potato salad, and golden egg glazed with sweet spicy sauce
NOTES:
Perfect combination!
The outside layer of the sushi so crispy, on top mashed potato tastes okay.
Overall is so yummy.
It's a full mouth sushi, because the size of the sushi is quite big for me.

Salmon Nigiri Moriawase

NOTES:
Of course, they really serves only fresh salmon.

MAIN COURSE

TAMATOJI
Tamatoji cooked by slow-cooking method. TOKYO BELLY used this method to slow boiled the egg with salmon or chicken katsu. Leave the fire on to keep your dish warm.

NOTES:

so delicious!

a little bit too salty if you eat the salmon separately without rice.

served beautiful by hotpot, keep it warms.

add IDR18,000 to get additional Japanese rice, miso soup, and Japanese pickles.

Chicken Katsu Tamatoji

the chicken katsu is so tender and tasty.
not too salty.
served beautiful by hotpot, keep it warms.

BIBIMBAP
Bibimbap (비빔밥) is a signature Korean dish, similar like "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served in a bowl, usually consists of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang (a fermented soybean paste), raw or fried egg with sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The hot dish should be stirred together thoroughly just before eating, as soon as possible.

Osaka Oyako Bibimbap

NOTED:
mixed it while it's hot, is a must!
let's make it not too over cooked.
overall tasted good.
not too salty.
well mixed.

Beef Shogayaki Bibimbap

NOTED:
mixed it while it's hot, is a must!
let's make it not too over cooked.
the usual bibimbap.
overall tasted good.


PASTA

Chicken Teriyaki Pasta

House speciality wafu pasta served with teriyaki chicken and mayo sauce 

NOTED:

I love the taste of their teriyaki chicken.

The chicken is boneless, tender, juicy, and savory.

The pasta is a little tasteless, i suggest to eat the chicken together with the pasta, so it's perfectly combined.

Tangy Tomato Pasta with Grilled Cheese And Mushroom Hamburg

Fresh tomato pasta topped with beef hamburg, grilled cheese & mixed mushroom 

NOTED:
it tasted so western, but actually good.
the tomato sauce is so strong.
the mushroom smells good.
if you're looking for some western taste, you can order this dish.

The most beautiful dessert presentation.
Serve on cute glass with a dry ice inside.
The matcha ice cream tastes so strong and perfectly combined with the sweet yet sour strawberry on top.

Matcha Fondue

I couldn't find any other green tea fondue this delicious.
